‘Justice League’ SDCC Campaign For Zack Snyder’s Cut Donates $15k To Suicide Prevention

As you all may remember, fans of Zack Snyder have wanted to see Warner Bros. release his version of Justice League since the original cut of the film released in 2017. Most recently, fans took the campaign to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con where they continued their campaign to sometimes comedically extream measures. But it appears that something good has come out of the campaign.

The campaign for releasing Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League raised $14,930 for suicide prevention at SDCC. The check for the donations is set to be sent off to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. You can see the announcement Tweet for this donation below:

As we all know by now, Zack Snyder had to abdicate his role as director for Justice League after the tragic suicide of his daughter. This lead to Joss Whedon taking over directorial duties for the post-production process. The result sadly did not sit well with audiences or critics. But, from the look of things, the campaign to release Zack Snyder’s cut of the film has resulted in a generous donation to a good cause.

Here is the official synopsis for Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for the latest news from Comic-Con and the DC Extended Universe.
