There is hope for a Zack Snyder cut of Justice League

What do all DCEU fans really want?

Simple. The release of a Zack Snyder Justice League cut. And while this has now been carved firmly into the folklore of the superhero/comic book movie world, it seems that it may not be such a myth. While there’s been plenty of statements telling us all that no such thing exists, because of the timing of the director’s departure and Josh Whedon’s taking charge.

However, there are two new events which may just give hope that a Snyder cut could be released at some point in the future.

The first is Justice League’s storyboard artists Jay Oliva’s comments regarding the hallowed pre-Whedon edit. ‘I think they are responding to people saying that the Snydercut (prior to Whedon’s involvement) does not exist and is not a cohesive story because Zack left. It may not be 100% polished but all of the planned scenes were shot and edited into a full timeline,’ he wrote in reply to a tweet from screenwriter Mark Hughes. Yeah, so… that basically sounds to us like there is hope for a Snyder cut. Now the other ray of light comes in the form of the AT&T/Time Warner takeover.

As fans from across the US discovered that the company which owns Warner Bros. Pictures had been bought, they bombarded the At&T account with questions regarding their position on the film that never was. ‘Hey @ATT there’s millions of ravenous fans who want you to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut so if you could go ahead and release that tomorrow, it would really be a sign of good faith to the fans. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut,’ wrote on fan.

To which he got… ‘Hey Chris, thanks for your feedback, We are always looking to expand. We are always here you,’ the reply read. Funnily enough this wasn’t the only fan/AT&T interaction along these lines, meaning… maybe, just maybe… the company does care about a Snyder cut.
