Zack Snyder and Ray Fisher hint at scene from the Snyder Cut

Zack Snyder may have given his biggest clue about the Snyder Cut. The release of Justice League has been one complicated story, and the full details are slowly coming out, but the one that stands out the most is Joss Whedon’s reshoots resulted in a cinematic cut that was completely different from what Zack Snyder had in mind before he was fired from the project.

Among the number of significant changes were brighter lighting and an over-saturated colour palate; more jokes and one-liners; a new ending that was completely different to what Zack Snyder had in mind; Superman scenes had to be reshot with some bad CGI to hide Cavill’smustache); chunks of content were cut, including lots of scenes that were seen in the trailers, a Knightmare scene featuring Darkseid, and more backstories for Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg.

The film was reportedly cut to maintain a 2-hour runtime and what was most disappointing to see was most of the scenes that were cut included Cyborg’s story who was originally supposed to be the core of the movie by Zack Snyder. Ray Fisher’s character ended up having very little backstory or character development, mostly to complement the motherbox plot. In hindsight, he might have been sending a message when he wore a Tshirt that revealed an “I <3 ZS” message.

Ray Fisher posted an image from one of Justice League’s deleted scenes on a social network recently which showed a football game seen in early trailers, which only briefly made it in the form of Cyborg’s holograms in the movie. Along with the image, was a message “Life doesn’t always go how we plan it. The only thing we can do is keep reaching for what we believe. #BORGLIFE #LoveRay”

The message seems fairly innocuous, but given the context provided by the included image, it’s not hard to assume he’s referring to the disappointment of how his role was changed in Justice League. The second half could easily be a simple motivational call to “believe,” in general, but again, there might be an implication that he’s telling fans to “believe” in the possibility of a Snyder Cut. It’d be easy to rule that last part out, if it weren’t for the fact that Snyder then immediately posted another shot from that same scene, tagging Fisher and saying “Believe. #BORGLIFE.”

There’s been a lot of debate over the original Snyder Cut and whether it had completed before Snyder was fired, but Snyder has repeatedly teased elements of the cut that are different from Joss Whedon’s cinematic cut by either posting images from deleted scenes or answering fan questions on social media.
